I find it so telling that you won't address these things with me to my face, but you will post it on the internet because your online disease has kept you from actually being able to address these things in the real world. Technology is supposed to enhance our lives, not take the place of us living it. Online you can be sexual, bold, honest and confrontational. Can you translate this into the real world? You owe it to yourself.

Oh I am very familiar with this attitude. When I went on facebook two years ago, everybody I know in RL said I was nuts to get my full name out there. Now, most of them are networking with me there, either privately or on a professional basis. We are using facebook for work groups, to organize events, to do campaigning and to simply keep in touch, since we all can get on it on our cell phones.
And fifteen years ago it was the same with cell phones. And with text messages. And e-mail. And web sites. I've been through it all, being a child of the sixties, and nowadays I dont' even discuss with people any more who want to tell me that one of the things I am doing is useless, dangerous, stupid or a waste of time. I know why I'm doing it, and am remaining open to what is useful to me. Twitter, for example, I did try out, and even if a lot of my friends are there, it doesn't somehow have much appeal to me. Nor is it useful. But I still found it fascinating how the "revolution" in Moldova happened all through Twitter.

My newest project is building an ecological village in Second Life :D. Everybody says I'm crazy. Well, we'll see....
